A Travel Itinerary to Yen Bai Province

Located in a central position as a connection point between the Northeast and the Northwest region, more convenient than many other provinces in the region, Yen Bai has all roads, railways and waterways, so visitors' journeys to beautiful tourist spots in the province are very quick and convenient. Thac Ba lake, a national-level scenic historical site with 1.300 green islands and many magical and amazing caves. The Temple festival is held in early spring to express gratitude to the heroes who have great contributions to the country and to show respect to the Holy Mother.

Going back to Muong Lo, white rice with clear water, the origination place of the black Thai ethnic people, the origin of the Xoe dances. Xoe Thai dance has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. Yen Bai province has been preparing a national dossier and submitting to UNESCO for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

For a joyful spring, the Mong ethnic people perform the dances of the mountains and forests, the sounds of the mountains in the bamboo flute (Khen) festival, the Gau Tao festival. The Tay and the Nung ethnic people have a Long Tong festival. The Dao ethnic people have a Pao Dung festival and fire dancing. Cao Lan and Xa Pho ethnic people also have a unique cultural space.

Each region, each ethnic group has its own characteristics in cuisine.
